Dark spots or increased pigmentation (hyperpigmentation) is a condition that occurs when excess melanocytes are deposited on the skin.
Melanocytes are cells containing melanin which often gives skin its colour. It can affect all skin types and is commonly seen on the face, hands and even body.
How does it work?
At DRV Skin, we tailor the treatment plan for pigmentation depending on the needs of each patient.
This may include the use of topical treatments and skin peels, mixed with laser treatments as well.
The topical treatments help lighten the skin, while the laser treatments focus specifically on the darker patches whilst not affecting the surrounding skin.
